One of the most pop watch designs available is the Cartier Pasha watch. The original Pasha comes cased in steel and a black rubber strap. The face of the watch has a black dial. Between the positions of four and five hourly clock positions, there is a small screen showing the date. The watch has a cover that screws down and has an onyx cabochon set in.

The watch was the first waterproof design. This is because it was originally intentional for a Pasha (hence the name) who wanted to wear a watch while swimming. The watch is resistant at up to one-hundred meters. It has since then become one of the main waterproof watches on the market.

The original Cartier Pasha watch design was attended with a protective grid covering, much like what was used with army watches. The smooth look and round face, however, set it miles apart from other watches. The design of the watch is a perfect match for women and men. The outstanding craft and contemporary style enlarges its exclusivity.

The Pasha design has undergone evolution and its design has currently been used in its various sub-collections. Currently, there are more than forty-four pasha models throughout the sub-collections. These models admit styles for men, women, and unisex models.

Each of the unlike models is created in accordance with the original design. However, one feature that has been changes is that the watch is offered in more materials than just metal, but regular gold, as well as white and pink gold materials are provided. Some of the higher quality models feature diamond within the setting. Some of the sub-collections also feature divers(a) wrist straps. Some feature bracelet style or leather, while some watches have interchangeable straps. Some models call back to the original design with rubber straps.

The Cartier Pasha watch is a very distinguished watch. This is the first watch non designed by anyone from the original family. The sleek and fashionable design adds to its solid construction and appeal.

I bought a Cartier Women’s Tank Francaise Stainless Steel Watch #W51008Q3 on Jan.2,2010. This watch didn’t work normally: It sometimes stopped , and often didn’t run exactly, so I think it isn’t worth the expensive price.

I bought this watch for my girlfriend and she loves it. Took it to the Cartier boutique to have it sized and it is perfect. I don’t know why the person from the previous post could not get service, but if you go to the boutique, they will service it.

I got this watch from Amazon as a gift from my husband a few months ago. Last month, we found that there was a $300-400 problem with the circuitry. Our watch store told us to have the repair fixed under the warranty. I called Amazon with the gift acknowledge in hand but I did non have the exact price so they refused to honor the warranty. I don’t know how you can have the exact price if you get the watch as a gift. My husband found his original receipt but Amazon refused to honor the warranty when he called with all the required information. He just got the run around on line in India for 20 minutes . It is not worth it. Buy from an authorized dealer.

Yes, this is a grey market watch, meaning only that Amazon is non an authorized dealer. It’s also a great price on the real deal (and the serial number wasn’t distant despite some commentary about this in some of the forums), with all brand new Cartier packaging, etc. You can’t beat the price; this was less even than several used Tank Francaises I looked at. If you want to pay full price, go ahead, but this is a great deal on the real thing, with an Amazon two year warranty instead of Cartier. That is the ONLY difference. Also fast shipping. I ordered at 6 PM and it was waiting for me in my office the very next morning when I arrived astatine 9 AM. That’s service!

This review is from: Cartier Women’s W51008Q3 Tank Francaise Stainless Steel Watch (Watch)

This is a beautiful watch that has become a classic just like the tank watch. I bought this on a whim and checked prices on the web. The price I paid seemed very reasonable and certainly much less than what I would have paid at Cartier astatine my local mall. The primary reason I purchased this watch from Amazon is that I knew I would be getting a “real” Cartier from a trusted source. It arrived the next day and my wife was like “what’s this? Why?” I just smiled and said because I love you.

This is one gorgeous piece by Cartier & with free super recoverer shipping from Amazon, I standard this product the very next day via UPS. This was an excellent deal. Thanks Amazon!!

Elegant classic, July 15, 2008

By:T.Marie

This watch is a classic. Watch old Audrey Hepburn movies and you’ll see it on her wrist, looking as graceful in 1966 as it does today. With Cartier quality, swiss movement and timeless and womanly lines, this is the choice for a beautiful but understated everyday watch that whispers “old money” amidst the cacophony of today’s “bling bling.”

Needs more research regarding Roman numerals, February 8, 2007

By:GammaRay “RUKiddinMe” (TX)

What kind of watchmaker designs their watches with IIII for the number 4 instead of IV? And who in their right mind puts the numbers upside down?
For $2,500 these are BIG design flaws.

Classic Brand — Classic Quality, January 3, 2007

By:Eric Wilkins “Wilko” (San Diego, CA USA)

The Cartier Tank watch is a standard that began the style of these watches. Beautiful elegant styling that is a perfect gift. In my case it was a graduation gift for my wife who worked very hard astatine getting a degree as a working adult.
This watch comes with a full presentation box of red leather, as one would expect from such a premium brand. Even the manual comes in its own matching red leather bound box. The watch is snug in a white kid leather cushioned box around a pillow of the same material.

Are you looking astatine Cartier watches for women, either for yourself or for that special lady in your life? Kudos. Cartier makes truly iconic timepieces – watches that stand virtually alone as the world’s most renowned, luxurious, and beautiful.

It was Louis Cartier’s lifelong quest to develop watches that were the “perfect balance betwixt aesthetics, structure, and function,” and while helium passed away in 1942, each of today’s lines of Cartier watches for women still embody that mission.

What to Buy – Styles & Pricing

Naturally, the question of what to buy has no real answer. It’s a decision best left to the buyer based on preference of style, price, shape, and other factors. Here is a quick summary of some of Cartier’s more well known models.

Roadster: The Roadster line was released in 2001 as a throwback to the sports cars of the 1950s and 1960s. It features a racy look with sleek curves, much as you’d expect from a posh car. The Roadster shape is much like the timeless Tortue model and far less expensive, ranking among the more affordable Cartier watches for women.

Tortue: The Cartier Tortue was intentional as a ladies watch. In fact, there wasn’t even a Tortue for men until 1928, more than 15 years after the first Tortue was released. This line features round curves and is a legendary shape highly prized by collectors. The 5-figure price tag reflects this.

Tank: Tank debuted in 1917, making it another(a) of Cartier’s timeless lines. Simple but elegant, Tank is a orthogonal watch with numerous “sub-styles” including Americaine Francaise, Divan, Solo and others. Each varies by shape of the rectangle ranging from tall… to wide… to nearly square. The price tags vary widely within the Tank sub-styles as well

Tankissime: While unmistakably related to Tank’s boilersuit style and shape, Tankissime is in a class of its own. It is an extraordinarily graceful watch with a sleek gold or silver band that’s perhaps better described as a bracelet. The band is often lined with diamonds making it one of Cartier’s more exquisite and high quality timepieces. The Tankissime generally carries a 5-figure price tag.

Pasha: Pasha is one of Cartier’s oldest lines, but boasts a wide selection of styles (and prices) well capable to satisfy modern tastes as well. It was originally intentional as a swimming watch with its sleek, circular design that’s inherently durable and water resistant. Unlike many other styles the Pasha face features numbers, not roman numerals.

Santos: Santos embodies the timelessness of Cartier with a style as modern today as it was more than a century agone when unveiled in 1904. The face embraces fine geometrical form with its iconic square inside a rectangle design. Rounded corners give the piece a feel of energy and flow.

Where to Buy – Traditional or Online Retailer

When it comes to purchasing an expensive watch, whether it’s a Cartier or any other prestigious brand, the most important thing is to buy from someone you trust. Not just to avoid replicas and fakes, but for other reasons as well.

For one thing, you certainly want to make sure you’re getting the full manufacturer’s warranty as well as any genuineness certificates that come with it.

It’s also good to know what recourse you have if you decide you want to return it… especially if it’s a gift. It’s hard to imagine a woman who wouldn’t appreciate a Cartier, but with so many styles, she may not want to settle for anything less than the perfect one.

Plus, in the unlikely event of a defect, it’s always more reassuring to deal with a seller you trust.

In short, acquaint yourself with the policies of any retailer you’re considering.

If you’re looking online, rest assured that there are several experient online watch retailers that are accustomed to these concerns and that have policies to ensure their customers are confident and happy, both before and after the sale. While traditional stores vary, your local high-end jeweler is probably just as committed to your satisfaction.

Naturally, price is also important. I have found that while it’s nice to be capable to look at a watch in a store, shopping on the internet is often a surefire way to get the best deal. It an easy way to compare several companies at once. Best of all, there are many internet based companies who have great reputations, great policies, and great prices.

They make it easy to browse collections like the ones listed above, while guaranteeing you’re getting an authentic, satisfaction guaranteed timepiece.

wrist watch

wrist watch

A wrist watch is a strange possession really. We all buy a watch for the sole purpose of telling the time, but after a short while our wrist watch becomes more than just a time piece on our wrists, it becomes part of us.

How many times have you gone a day without your wrist watch and it just doesn’t feel right?

Wrist watches ar available in so many styles and designs that it’s as easy to get the choice right as it is to get it wrong.

Depending on what you ar looking for in a wrist watch should depend on the features and style of watch that you go for.

As a frequent traveler I had to go for a watch that would well swap through time zones with the minimal of fuss. The needs of a frequent traveler are some what dissimilar than those of regular Joe office worker. The frequent traveler needs a wrist watch that is easy to swap time zones as well as being water proof to a degree to protect from damage. As any traveller will tell you the last thing you want when on the other side of the world id to be saddled with a broken watch and struggling to get the time.

As a frequent traveler I’d always suggest going for a rubberized or fabric strap on a wrist watch rather than the metal(a) bracelet type strap of many fashion watches. Rubberized or fabric straps on a wrist watch ar more robust for the frequent traveler as there are no links to break and they are easier to clean if they get dirty.

Fashion watches tend to be just that, a wrist watch to look good when worn with the sole purpose of telling the time with a bit of glitz and glamor, for the frequent traveller these things are non so much a necessity on a wrist watch but more of a bonus. As a frequent traveller why not bring a fashion watch with you as a second option just in case you need to be a bit smarter whilst away?

As a frequent traveler I would always go for a wrist watch with a good quartz mechanism rather a digital watch. When you are travelling the least that go wrong with a watch the better. You don’t want the battery to give up on you when you ar in the middle of the forest.

I’d recommend going for a watch with a very plain face and easy to distinguish numbers as well as having luminous digits and hands so what ever the conditions you should be able to tell the time.

Experimenting with new materials, watch making brands acquire their cases and movements using alien metals, such as palladium, mg and arcane alloys these all make the watch more robust as well as being more lightweight, all ideal attributes in a wrist watch for the frequent traveler.

Every 2-3 years I’d wholeheartedly recommend getting a wrist watch specialist to give your watch an overhaul and a good clean, the workings of a wrist watch can get dirtier than you’d imaging and this will affect the performance of your wrist watch.

I try to pass on my musings on life and experiences in a way that people may find interesting to read.
